Hey there,

I’m Matt, a freelance illustrator based in Paddington, London.
I studied at Falmouth University, graduating with a First Class Honours classification from the BA Illustration course.

I am capable of producing Illustration work in a variety of mediums but my particular favourite is traditional pencil. In some cases I’ll use digital pencil on Procreate but in this ever changing creative industry, I feel I’m leaning more into traditional mediums to express more of myself.

My process, as for many artists, begins at the developmental stage of idea generation and sketching. For me this is the most exciting stage. From here, I refine ideas and work up to a rough sketch of the final art without colour. Following this, taking on feedback from art directors I resolve to render the final art in colour.
